Using highly concentrated sulfuric acid in a high temperature environment, creates haze by forming ammonium sulfate crystals on the surface of glass or Photomask. The most common practice to confront this problem, is applying several DI-Water rinses following the SC1 process to remove the sulfate ions from the surface of the glass or the Photomask, are very time consuming and not very effective method.

The SASIC Barracuda series solves these problems of the Photomask and glass stripping process. The Barracuda solutions work at room temperature, and hence they do not contaminate the clean room atmosphere with airborne contamination. We believe the elimination of sulfate as well as ammonium ions inside the clean rooms will solve the haze formation on the Photomask. Use of Barracuda solutions is expected to significantly decrease the Photomask yield failures.
